For our final report, LWE’s writing staff offers their top 10 favorite singles from the year so far.

To our ears it’s been quite a strong year for singles, even if relatively few true anthems have emerged (not counting the ubiquitous “Orbitalife,” which is more a device than an anthem). One track that has dominated our ballots is Dave Aju’s slo-mo mouth discopiece, “Crazy Place,” and its attendant Luciano remix. A bigger vote recipient is — shock shock — Ricardo Villalobos, with both originals from the “Vasco EP Part 1” spread across our lists. Subsequently, Perlon releases were the best represented, followed by Circus Company and Wagon Repair. Beyond that, it’s a fairly diverse crowd.
