Chris over at mnml ssgs recently had this (and a lot more) to say in response to Shed’s latest Ostgut Ton full-length, The Traveller: “He doesn’t make music for you, he makes it for himself. We are just lucky that he decides to share it with us.” In the shallowest, most literal way possible, this sentiment has proved true, as Shed (the man of many aliases born René Pawlowitz) is sharing “No Way!”, one of The Traveller‘s choices cuts, with the Little White Earbuds massive as our latest Download of the Week. “No Way!” presents Pawlowitz at his least predictable: while his low-end rumbles and swells like dubstep, fat synths spread out smoothly over the proceedings like dub techno flattened with a rolling pin. Leaving any and all genre preconceptions in the dust, “No Way!” offers a delicious teaser of the tricks Shed has up his sleeve across the album. If you still need convincing that The Traveller is essential, “No Way!” should push — nay, Swedish-massage you over the edge. A special thanks to Pawlowitz and Ostgut Ton for sharing this track.

This is so cool 2 offer a freebie (thanx); i like the way he makes music 4 himself…. it shows his personality, growth, creativity. These are the signs of true artist not willing 2 be a jukebox. I appreciate SHED.
